Off-road through the Red Rocks in Sedona
Riding ATVs or buggy's through the Sedona wilderness is exhilarating. The first trail led us to Palatki, site of Indian ruins and pictographs etched into the red rock walls. We moved along to Boynton Pass, where we zoomed through the colorful canyons, red rock pinnacles, and high mountains.
Hike Bell Rock for Epic Views of Sedona
Bell Rock is among the many towering mountains and vistas of Red Rock State Park. There are amazing panoramic views of the prominent red rock formations like Courthouse Butte as you ascent.
Airport Mesa Hike in Sedona
Amazingly, there is a gorgeous 3 mile loop right next to Sedona’s airport. During this hike you can see the Red Rocks from the north, opposite the view from Bell Rock. As the sun set it blanketed the mountains in soft light and the cactus needles radiantly glowed.

4 days in Tokyo
It was bone chilling cold at times, at least for this SoCal girl. We got some rain and even a bit of snow, but it was a great trip exploring both Tokyo and Kyoto, two very different Japanese cities.
Visit the Ghost Town of Amboy
The ghost town of Amboy was once a major stop along Route 66 until Interstate 40 was opened. The city only has 10 remaining buildings, Roy's gas station and motel cafe being the biggest landmarks. You can stop in for a Root Beer and wander through some of the abandoned hotel rooms with art installations.
Red Rock Canyon
Red rock canyon lies right off the 14 and features gorgeous multi-colored rock formations. The facade is swirling mix of reds and whites. The park is located where the southernmost tip of the Sierra Nevada converges with the El Paso Mountains.
