Explore Wai'anapanapa Black Sand Beach
Maui is such a gorgeous tropical island, and the Road to Hana is one of it's biggest attractions. We made a lot of stops along the way, Wai'anapanapa Black Sand Beach is worth a stop. Wai'anapanapa literally means "glistening water." The colors of the crystal blue ocean and lush greenery against the black sand are stunning.
You can wander down the coastline to see this beautiful beach, and walk downhill to view the black volcanic sand. On the beaches, you can even explore sea caves, just pay close attention to the tide. This is my favorite view of all the stops we took on the road to Hana, a little slice of paradise.
