Sometimes you can create your own fairytale in life... That’s what our friend did for his 50th bday, where we experienced “A Midsummer Nights Dream” at La Verriere in Provence, France. We ate, drank, danced to the Gipsy King’s (live!) sang, and celebrated. An epic fairytale.

Cape Town in an interesting and beautiful city that reminds me of Los Angeles because of the weather, beaches and artistic culture.

Porto is city filled with beautiful tiled buildings, medieval castles, cobblestone streets, delicious seafood, good wine, and friendly people.

Bordeaux is a beautiful and quaint French city, in the middle of France’s famed wine region. The city itself is a UNESCO World Heritage site, and you get the sense they’ve spent a great deal of effort renovating these buildings. It was mostly built in the 18th century from limestone, so as you walk down the cobblestone streets it feels like you’ve stepped back in time. In this post, I’ll give you some ideas for what to do if you have 2-3 days to explore Bordeaux.

When most people think of California wines, they think of Napa Valley. Even most Angelino's (people from L.A.) have never heard of the Santa Ynez Valley. Santa Ynez is just north of Santa Barbara, and is one of most diverse grape-growing regions in the county.
