1 Adventurous Day in Twin Falls

Twin Falls, Idaho is great place to enjoy an adventurous day! Snake River Canyon is just to the north, where you can hike, zipline, kayak, and even base jump off the Perrine Memorial Bridge. Downtown also hosts a good amount of breweries to quench your thirst after a day of adventuring. In this post I’ll outline my recommendations for a great day in Twin Falls.

Where to Stay

There aren’t many hip or trendy places to stay in Twin Falls. I recommend staying at a hotel close to Centennial Water Park like La Quinta by Wyndham Twin Falls or Hilton Garden Inn Twin Falls.

Go Ziplining with AWOL adventure Sports

Start your day on a zipline adventure with AWOL Adventure Sports. The adventure begins in Snake River Canyon with great views of the Perrine Memorial Bridge. You’ll then zip through the air, with grand views of waterfalls and the Snake River below.

Kayak or Paddle Board on the Snake River

Take a leisurely paddle down the Snake River. There are incredible rock formations and you can usually get an up close view of base jumpers plummeting off the bridge.

Visit Shoshone Falls

A visit to Shoshone Falls is a must-see if you’re visiting Twin Falls. The Falls were named after the Native American tribe who originated in the Western Great Basin. It’s sometimes called the "Niagara of the West." Shoshone Falls is higher than Niagara Falls and over 1,000 feet wide.

Head downtown for a taste at one of the many breweries

The historic downtown has a lot to offer from delicious cuisine to local breweries. We found ourselves at Koto Brewing Co. for a late lunch of savory poke tacos, spicy queso and crispy tortilla chips. Koto has a great selection of craft beer including some sours.

We continued our beer tasting at Milner’s Gate, who recently did a beautiful remodel of their interiors. They also have a wide selection of craft brews and I highly recommend a visit.

Enjoy a sunset dinner at Elevation 486 overlooking the Snake River Canyon

The canyon at sunset is picturesque! Weather permitting, enjoy dining on the outdoor patio at Elevation 486. This is a fine dining atmosphere, so it’s a bit on the pricier side, but the food is delicious and they have an extensive wine list. Try the huckleberry butter! We ended up getting some for the road.
