Project Landers: Dining Room Mood Board for a Desert Dwelling

Project Landers is a vacation home/airbnb my husband and I are building in the desert. It’s a big project, building from the ground up, with many decisions to be made. As we’re moving through permitting, I’ve started planning out some of the rooms. In this post, I’ll share where I’m at so far with planning the dining room.

Rattan has been on trend for a while now, and it’s a perfect earthy addition to any desert dwelling. For the dining area particularly, we are going full rattan with gorgeous chairs, rug, and a pendant from Serena & Lily. The Baja Rug is my absolute fave because of the geometric design that mimics block printing.

We are planing on commissioning a mural for the dining wall as a large statement piece within the space. Betty Larkin has a beautiful minimalist approach to art, with geometric shapes and soft colors that blend well into a soothing abstract pattern.

Designer: Tamra Lambert
Brand: Serena & Lily
