Stay at cozy Tenaya Lodge in Yosemite

Tenaya Lodge in Yosemite is the perfect location to stay while exploring Yosemite National Park. This lodge style hotel has a cozy cabin-like feel, with grand fireplaces, wall-mounted taxodermy and warm neutral colors. It has a plethora of things to do communal space, like an indoor and outdoor pool, and a nice reading area in the main lobby. It has two restaurants to dine in when you return from a long day hiking or biking in the park.

When To Go

The best time to visit Yosemite is in the Spring or Fall, when the weather is mild and the crowds are a bit lighter. Although most of the year the park is pretty crowded.

The Accommodations

Our cabin was very cute and comfortable, nothing fancy but it did have an indoor fireplace which was a huge plus! There’s nothing like relaxing next to a crackling fire after an active day. It was quiet at night and we slept soundly with no light pollution.

There are also large outdoor fire pits you can huddle up to at night, perfect for a glass of wine and some good conversation after a long day hiking.

There are several outdoor fire pits at Tenaya you can sit by at night under the stars

There are a four restaurants in the hotel, so you can choose your vibe whether it’s indoor cozy cabin or outdoor BBQ.

What I loved most of all about this hotel was the proximity to the Yosemite Valley. Most hotels are far outside the park, but Tenaya is only about a 30min drive to the Valley, where a majority of the activities begin. Take a weekend trip here to marvel at the stunning granite mountains and cascading waterfalls of Yosemite National Park.
