Maui is top 5 of my favorite places. I'm a beach kid from Ventura California, so the ocean is always calling my name. I've now been to Maui 4 times, and there are countless amazing things to do on this beautiful island, but here are my top 5. 

Elmer’s bottle tree ranch is just off highway 40 on Route 66. It’s a plot of land filled will artistic trees made from old collected bottles and found objects. Elmer inherited these bottles from his father who collected them and other antiques. He turned this junk into over 200 art installations free for all to explore.

We chose the theme of ranch style with a modern twist. I want it to feel rustic, but still have a desert chic appeal. Mixing blues with rustic woods and worn leather gives it masculine southwest appeal, while adding in some creams and a high contrast black and white print as the centerpiece modernizes the space.

So Far Sounds L.A. had a show at MV Art Dept in my blossoming neighborhood of Mar Vista. I wanted to mimic the beautifully designed sign as you enter the store. Gorgeous geometric patterns of reclaimed wood, white paint, and steel. I am personally a big fan of MV Art Dept bringing murals and creative workshops to the neighborhood. 

I've found a new brand fave, Indy Brand Clothing. I'm loving this vintage western inspired "Keep it rad" tee that goes perfectly with my new Bailey Berger Straw hat. 

Amboy Crater is a 6,000-year-old cinder cone volcano that rises above a lava field. I loved seeing all the plants spring up from the black lava forms. New life sprouted from the darkness.

Kayves musical influences include Joy Division, Foals, Interpol, The Cure, and Tame Impala. The band is working on an EP to keep the momentum going after a promising start at Coachella. 

An interview with Marlena of Marlena Jarjoura Jewelry. Marlena combines crystals with wire wraps to create gorgeous earrings, rings, bracelets, and necklaces. Living in a little off-the-grid cabin, she is inspired everyday by the nature that surrounds her.

I was excited to take Bailey's Cudmore Hat with me to Coachella weekend one as the perfect accessory. This two toned style is western inspired, and hand woven in Ecuador. It's 100% my style, a little bit of southwest, a little latin influenced, and perfect for any of my many tips to the desert. 

Kyoto is old Japan, there are so many beautiful historic sites to see all over the city and just beyond. We enjoyed the light jazz 20s throwback lounges and the plethora of intriguing temples. I left wishing I had more time to explore.

Our visit to Sedona was a much needed escape from the big bad city and into such a beautiful and calming environment. We explored and meditated, rode ATVs and attended a shaman breathworks ceremony. It was an eye opening experience in a magical and mystical city filled with red rocks.
