I'm recently working with a colleague and friend to brand her company. Dana Joy is "The Gift Hunter," sourcing remarkable antique, vintage and artisan-made gifts. We began the project discussing a lot of Dana's personal inspirations; Gustav Klimt, Art Deco, The Maltese Falcon and Diana Goddess of the Hunt. Since Dana is personally shopping to find her customers the perfect gift, we landed on a design that has an intimate handwritten feel to it, and intertwined that with an art deco palette of black, gold, and creme.
I was very excited to collaborate with our design team at thredUP to Art Direct a holiday shoot with Emily Henderson, a stylist, New York Times Bestselling author, TV personality, and founder of a daily style blog.
I keep a Pinterest board called "harmonious hues" to keep a log of interesting color combos I'm drawn to. This helps when I'm designing to have some ideas to grab from.
I designed this poster for SoFar Sounds L.A.'s January 28 show. I found this great trendy typeface called Hill House Medium. I love the double bars of the and dots below the O's.
